The Wytches, King Gizzard, The Parrots and more set to make Strange Waves at The Ritz. Getintothis’ Vicky Pea drools at the prospect.
Towards the end of summer, while there’s still a warm haze to the air, Strange Days and Now Wave will combine like a psychedelic promoter transformer to become Strange Waves, a one day, two stage festival at The Ritz.
The title couldn’t be more fitting as whacked out Aussie gang King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Spanish stoners The Parrots, and trippy trio The Wytches are joined by The Big Moon, Shame, Charlotte Cannon, and Methyl Ethel.
King Gizzard will be looking to top their performance from 2015’s ‘event of the year’ – Heavenly Records‘ 25th Birthday bash at The Kazimier – as they continue their mad rise, even due to pop up at Reading and Leeds Festival later this month.
The Wytches will pick up from a headline slot at Skeleton Coast Festival, as they gear up for the arrival of their new album, All Your Happy Life, due to be released via Heavenly Records who will also be DJ’ing on the night.
With more acts still likely to be announced we encourage you to get your ass down to The Ritz and loose track of space and time with some of the grooviest bands around.
Strange Waves takes place on September 9 at The Ritz, Manchester.
