Hicari by definition means ‘light’ in Japanese and that is exactly what Liverpool based five piece electro-pop band bring to the table. Fresh from playing LIMF, Hicari have unveiled their new video for the single Catch Fire, exclusively on Getintothis.
Catch Fire is upbeat and full of positive energy. The video reflects this, starring what we assume are fans, family and friends, montage-d together and holding up lyrics to the song.
The power pop synths are combined with strong female vocals taking a lead and male vocals as a backup, switching up the traditional vocal balance and creating a much lighter harmony. The energy doesn’t waver and this is essentially perfect music for those summer days and nights.
