As the former Verve frontman announces a date at the docklands, Getintothis Craig MacDonald brings you all the details.
Fresh from ending his hiatus, The Verve main man Richard Ashcroft has announced a date in Liverpool later in the year as he play the Echo Arena on December 7, in one of only two UK dates later this year.
Having been heralded as one of the finest singers and songwriters of his generation, the King of Wigan made his return to the musical world this year, with the release of his new album These People earlier in the month.
Following a brief UK tour this month which has found the singer selling out venues throughout the land, the singer will be making his only UK festival appearance at The Isle of Wight Festival this summer.
Now some twenty three years since his debut with The Verve, Ashcroft continues to prove highly influential to many and this will be a chance for the Northern icon’s public to pay him homage. We suggest you act fast to avoid disappointment.
Richard Ashcroft will play the Liverpool Echo Arena on Wednesday, December 7, doors 6:30pm. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 27.
