Michigan based, fuzzed up dream poppers Pity Sex stop off for a few European dates and Getintothis’ Joseph Giess has all the gossip.
Demure Pity Sex emo rockers return to Liverpool for a second time, showcasing their sophomore effort White Hot Moon.
On their latest album, the band resuscitate a wash of genres, bringing the nostalgic hallmarks of shoegaze to emo in a dose of rapturous power-come-punk pop all channelled over a wall of fuzz. Brennan Greaves and Britty Drake, who front the band, bring melodious and intimate musings on repulsion and affection, giving echoes of the Dublin outfit My Bloody Valentine.
With White Hot Moon comes a matured and more refined arsenal of songs, in comparison to the bands 2013 debut Feast Of Love. They bring their confessional set to Liverpool’s own Studio 2 on the 9th October after an extensive North American tour.
The UK tour totals seven dates:
October 5: Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar, Brighton
October 6: The Lousiana, Bristol
October 7: Soup Kitchen, Manchester
October 8: Headrow House, Leeds
October 9: Studio 2, Liverpool
October 11: Corporation, Sheffield
October 12: Oslo Hackney, London
