Ahead of their upcoming UK tour in support of a new third album, Getintothis’ Will Neville looks forward to the Augustines’ visit to Liverpool.
This Is Your Life will be released on June 10, the follow-up to Augustines‘ 2014 self-titled album. After dates supporting Noel Gallagher in Europe, they headline the Dot To Dot festival in Manchester, followed by dates in Bristol and Nottingham later this month.
Lead single When Things Fall Apart showcases Billy McCarthy’s yearning vocals on top of their typically tuneful indie rock sounds, backed by some nicely pulsing keyboards from Eric Sanderson. Drummer Rob Allen completes the Brooklyn indie-rockers’ line-up.
A documentary about the band is also imminent, featuring footage from a sold-out headline date at Camden’s Roundhouse.
A short UK tour will finish with a stop at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Monday, October 31.
