With a plethora of top talent announced for this years X&Y Festival, Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald has all the details.

Getintothis can reveal that Honne will join Frank Turner as headliners for this years X&Y Festival, which this year takes place over four separate days, June 9 & 10 and July 8 & 10, in the stunning surroundings of Sefton Park Palmhouse.

The electro soul duo will be looking to build on the acclaim they have received from their latest release Gone Are The Days, which they released earlier in the year. Having released his sixth album Positive Songs For Negative People to much praise last year, it will make for a welcomed return following his appearance at Central Library last year.

A further swathe of artists have also been announced for this years event. Leeds indie quartet Vitamin will be making the journey over from The Pennines, as will local upstarts Fake Street and The Jackobins.

Sheffield pop punters Nai Harvest will join grunge drone quartet Bloody Knees and the rachous sound of Black Foxes as they look to raise the decibels in the glasshouse.

Ipswich rockers Basement continue their progression following a brief hiatus, while the brooding sounds of The Japanese House will be adding a dose of melancholic beauty to the affair. One man folk juggernaut Beans On Toast will be bound to get plenty of people into the groove, while the dexterity of Tom Walker will tick many peoples boxes.

Having tore The Magnet up last year, VANT will be ready to test the decibels in the glasshouse as will indie rockers The Hunna. With Theme Park and Babeheaven also on the lineup this year, there is already a stellar set of acts building and you can expect plenty more to be named in the coming weeks.
