The Maccabees have announced a warm up date at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on July 14 ahead of headlining Latitude Festival this July. The much-loved indie quartet released their latest and fourth album Marks To Prove It to rave reviews last year and will celebrate by headlining the picturesque Suffolk festival on July 15.
The announcement of warm up shows by The Maccabees is nothing new – the band played a series of warm up dates ahead of playing Bestival in 2011 and also played Liverpool’s O2 Academy ahead of their UK tour in November 2014.
This summer caps off a huge year for the band who scored their first UK number one album and bagged Best British Band at this year’s NME Awards and the handful of gigs offer an intimate and affordable chance to catch a band sure to have festival crowds singing their hearts out this summer.
Tickets for the intimate warm up shows go on sale April 1 at 9am.
