Gilles Peterson appears at Freeze
With their 10th anniversary year drawing to a close Getintothis’ Ste Knight has the latest on Freeze’s shows with Nicholas Jaar, Greg Wilson and Gilles Peterson.
Freeze have really outdone themselves this year, putting on some truly outstanding parties in the Liverpool area which we here at Getintothis have been lucky enough to bear witness to.
We’ve been treated to the 48 Hours in Liverpool weekender which saw DJs from all four corners of the earth play, including Black Coffee and Mind Against, play to a baying crowd. We’ve had their Asylum event in Newsham Park with Sven Vath at the helm. Even the precursor to the 48 Hours event was great as Nina Kraviz destroyed the New Bird St warehouse.

Not content that they’ve spoiled us enough, however, the guys at Freeze HQ have dropped three huge events to end the year on, each one of them with a great headliner.
First off we’ve got the 10 Birthday party to be held at The Garage on Saturday November 14. The line-up for this is a belter, with none other than Nicholas Jaar headlining the night. Support comes from Powell and more guests to be announced. See below to win one of five pairs of tickets we have to give away.
Next up on Saturday December 5 Freeze plays host to another dance music legend. Celebrating an amazing 40 year career we’ve got none other than Greg Wilson playing what is bound to be an all-out journey of a set which will cover the whole gamut of dance music.

The third and final date of Freeze comes from a British dance music institution. Known for his wildly eclectic taste and for pushing world dance music to the limits, Friday December 18 sees Gilles Peterson take to the decks.
