With Cast gearing up for their first All Change gig at The Philharmonic, Getintothis Simon Lewis brings stunning images from their rehearsals with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
In celebration of their debut album All Change turning 20 this year, next month finds Cast joining forces with The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra as they play the first of two very special concerts at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on December 5.
With the show seeing songs from the group’s debut as well as others reworked to stunning effect with the RLPO, Cast have been busy getting to grips with their new bandmates as they prepare to revamp such classics as Walk Away and Alright, as these remarkable photos from their rehearsals show.
This will not be the first time that the UK’s longest serving symphony orchestra has worked with iconic artists from the city. Last year saw the world-class musicians working with Lightning Seeds front man Ian Broudie as they played through delightful renditions of his acclaimed pop melodies, while this year found the ensemble playing a mind blowing set at LIMF with Echo and The Bunnymen.
As those who were lucky enough to catch John Power‘s triumphant show earlier this year in The Kazimier will know, the anticipation for the show has been building for months. When the frontman joins his fellow Cast brothers on the Philharmonic stage, it is sure to be an explosive performance.
