Courtney Barnett will play the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Tuesday December 1.
The 25-year-old Australian released Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, one of the stand out records of 2015 earlier this month and returns to Liverpool for the first time since playing a riotous show at The Zanzibar during Sound City 2014.
Mixing witty, meandering lyrical humour, and sometimes heartbreaking observations with devastating self-assessment, Barnett’s debut has cemented her as one of the most distinctive and compelling voices in rock and roll.

Getintothis caught Barnett last month at SXSW in Austin Texas where she played a set packed with new tunes and choice cuts, including breakthrough track Avant Gardner from her debut collection of EPs A Sea of Split Peas.
This time round she plays for Club EVOL in what promises to be one of the hottest shows in town when tickets (priced £15) go on sale on Friday at 9am.
