From pop bangers to epic rockers and dancefloor fillers, it’s been quite a year for the blessed single – these are the tracks that have shaped Getintothis‘ 2014.
If it was hard sticking to 100 albums in 2014 it was perhaps even harder selecting a final top 40 tracks.
There’s been such a wealth of hefty tunes this year it was hard to know where to begin. And that was just on the Merseyside scene. As you’ll see from our countdown we’ve included a fair number of belters from the region alongside weighty winners from around the globe. They’re not included by virtue of any bias either, all the tracks in our top 40 are included on merit and complete what looks a cracking playlist.
Speaking of which, if anyone wishes to assemble them into one that’d be lovely, I’ve simply no time! I’d suggest listening to them all while you make it and revel in such joyous, varied sounds.
