Liverpool based five piece The Baltic States have self-released their debut EP Boxes and have made the title track available to stream.
Their sound is a hauntingly hypnotic blend of ambient electronica and detached techno-influenced beats.
The band formed in the summer of 2013 and released their debut single Kontrol shortly thereafter. The most striking aspect of Boxes, the lead track from their debut EP, is Helen Morrison’s vocal delivery. It is delivered with a clarity and depth and has a haunting quality that complements perfectly the electronic backdrop of their forceful and powerful sound.
