Glaswegian three-piece Errors are to step in for the Kazimier date later this month following John Wizards’ withdrawal from the event, Getintothis’ Patrick Clarke has all you need to know.
With just under a fortnight until Liverpool Music Week kicks off for another year, acclaimed South African outfit John Wizards have announced that they will no longer be appearing at the festival, following the cancellation of their upcoming European tour.
Glasweigan three-piece Errors will replace them for the gig, to take place at The Kazimier on October 29, one of the festival’s series of free shows at the venue, alongside the likes of Liars, Hookworms, and The Antlers.
Tickets for the six shows are free, while a Kazimier ‘Golden Ticket’ guarantees entry into three of the nights.
Though John Wizards’ globe-trotting blend of afropop, artpop and electronica will be much missed at the festival, Errors are worthy replacement, and have garnered their own fair share of acclaim.
Back in 2012 Getintothis named their set, also at The Kazimier, as “contender for gig of the year” and placed their third outing New Relics in our top 100 albums that same year.
The band are signed to Rock Action Records, the label founded and run by Mogwai, their fellow Glaswegians set for their own LMW set at Camp & Furnace on October 24.
