Meet Liverpool’s rising hip hop talent, Nelson.
From the low lit corners of suburbia comes new Liverpool hip hop talent Nelson.
This 19-year-old MC drips considered lyrical verve fused to thudding neo-gothic brooding instrumentation which recalls the wonky piano-led hustle of early Wu-Tang or disillusioned socio-political commentary of the likes of Earl Sweatshirt.
Debut track Rhapsody, taken from his forthcoming April scheduled Neo Noir EP, showcases his drizzly vocals over chiming choral refrains.
It’s a fine introduction from this Leeds-via-Liverpool new hip hop connection.
