Obtuse trio help out Liverpool-based charity with October date at Maguire’s Pizza Bar
Alpha Male Tea Party, riding high with a new EP and a reputation growing at an exponential rate, alight at Maguire’s Pizza Bar (Renshaw Street) on Saturday October 26 with a free show.
The night will be hosted in conjunction with the Coeliac UK Liverpool volunteer support group. For those not in the know, coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease.
Gluten, which is found in wheat, barley and rye triggers an immune reaction in people with coeliac disease. This means that eating gluten damages the lining of the small intestine. Other parts of the body may also be affected.
It all sounds pretty grim, but the hard work done by organisations like Coeliac UK have led to a steep rise in new diagnoses, treatment and general management of the condition.
Maguire’s Pizza Bar will be providing a limited amount of free samples of their new gluten-free pizza range for those in attendance.
There will be advice, support and literature offered to those newly diagnosed, long-term sufferers and the curious. Coeliac or not, all are welcome to a night that will provide a triumvirate of community spirit, fantastic live music and the best pizza in town.
