Bill Ryder-Jones pulls out of Saturday’s FestEVOL. Boo! But drops a new tunes. Yay!
First the bad news. Bill Ryder-Jones has pulled out of Saturday’s much anticipated FestEVOL part two at the Kazimier.
He posted the news on his Facebook page earlier this afternoon, saying: “Massive sorry to all at festEVOL and everyone who was looking forward to seeing us play but we’ve had to pull out of Saturdays gig.”
The news, however, was tempered by this delightful new offering, Without Horizon – a characteristically understated slice of introspection complete with cracked vocal, brushed nylon and the gentle hush of static and what sounds like the wash of the Wirral coastline in the background.
It’s the first new material, Ryder-Jones has offered up since his stunning album A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart released on Domino earlier this year.
Bill Ryder-Jones’ latest single from A Bad Wind…, Wild Swans was named Getintothis‘ track of the week, just last week.
