The Kazimier is awash with creatures of the night and musical riches as everisland’s Moonlight Gathering is captured in pictorial form by Getintothis’ Andrew AB.
Liverpool collective everisland specialise in mixing arts happenings with happening music.
They’re really, really good at it. So much so they bagged are Best Event of 2012 Gong. And on Saturday they returned with their latest noir themed event – a moonlight gathering in the apt octagonal setting of the Kazimier.
Hypnotic folk ensemble All We Are made their return after taking time out to record new material while GIT Award winners Loved Ones also made their comeback amid the lunar visuals.
Elsewhere Mother Earth added angular rhythmic throbs, Kazimier Krunk Band brought the in-house carnival madness, King Twit delivered wonky rowdy knees-up folk pop while creature projections and set designs were provided by Mr Wolf and Jessica Doyle.
Getintothis will have the full review shortly, in the meantime, feast your eyes on our man amid the darkness, Andrew AB‘s shots which give a pretty neat summary of what unfolded.
Secret Garden Gathering warmed up the evening with their luminescent hymns.
Mother Earth apply hyper-kinetic rhythms to the Kazimier’s stage.
King Twit’s boisterous chants serenade the unfolding pageant.
Nightfall descends upon the Kazimier as clambering lunar creatures descend.
Loved Ones offer a rare outing of new material from their forthcoming debut album.
All We Are accompany the moonlight’s crescendo with their kaleidoscopic compositions of psych-tinged pop.
