Jetta: the Liverpool lioness ready to roar.
The first time Getintothis was treated to a blast of Jetta‘s fearsome vocal was at Liverpool Sound City 2010.
Lending her awesome pipes to Paloma Faith‘s backing trio in the spacial surrounds of Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall, Jetta stood out as a talent in the making.
Slight,and bambi-eyed her youthful exuberance was at odds with the attack of her delivery and the depth of her soaring voice. It was immediately obvious there was musicianship in abundance.
Relocating to London, she’s been steadily working on her ascent as a solo artist, signing a publishing deal with Sony ATV, working with Cee Lo Green and contributing to Jakwob‘s Electrify.
Having released Start A Riot, her debut single proper (a colossal fusion of gnarly Massive Attack soul RnB propelled by Jetta’s wind turbine of a vocal), back in September she’s fast-becoming Liverpool’s Big Female Pop Star to watch in 2013.
And judging by a host of assorted goods dotted over t’internet, there’s more awesome tunes in her armoury.
