Beth Orton readies a rare UK tour alongside co-headliners The Leisure Society and stops off at The Kazimier in April.
BRIT Award winning folk singer-songwriter Beth Orton is to play The Kazimier on Friday April 12.
Orton returns to Merseyside for a rare outing in support of her 2012 fifth studio album Sugaring Season – her first for five years.
Known for her dazzling leftfield alt-fok, often imbued with electronica and trip hop, Orton has memorably collaborated with the likes of William Orbit, Bert Jansch and our particular favourite, the stunning Where Do I Begin with The Chemical Brothers.
Characteristically breezy, yet intelligently inventive and with a firm emphasis on her guitar playing, Orton’s Sugaring Season explores life as a single mother and is her first record with husband and fellow songwriter Sam Amidon.
Support comes from Brighton pop-folkies The Leisure Society.
Tickets are £20, on sale Friday February 8, 9am.
