BOOM! Manchester legends unite as part of The Farm’s Justice Tour for the 96 Liverpool Football fans that died at Hillsborough.

As returns go, it couldn’t have been more special.
Not since 1995 have The Stone Roses‘ iconic singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire played on the same stage – yet since burying the hatchet with news they’ve reunited with the rest of the band for next summer’s record sellout, Heaton Park gigs, the duo came together tonight in aid of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.
Billed as special guests on The Farm‘s Justice Tour (which kicked off with a special one-off at Liverpool’s Olympia Theatre – review below), the Roses duo entered Manchester Ritz‘s stage to a rapturous reception with fans barely able to contain their excitement.
Teaming up with The Clash‘s Mick Jones and Pete Wylie on Bankrobber, they followed up up with the Roses classic Elizabeth My Dear from their peerless eponymous debut album before returning to the Clash’s back catalogue with Armargeddon Time.
The Farm‘s singer Peter Hooton captured the action on Twitter with the words ‘special guests!’
