Tennessee-based, City Slang-signed, Royal Bangs released their third album Flux Outside in March. In their spare time, The Bangs are devoted stained glass experts regularly regaling local communities on the virtues of this age old craft. Dichronic glass is a specialist subject.

White Denim released their critically acclaimed fourth record D in May. Named after their favourite rock and roller of all-time, Johnny Borrell, and his penchant for pale pants, White Denim can speak 14 different languages between them, including the little known Yukaghir from the Russian Far East.
