As production duo God Colony return with a new track ahead of their forthcoming EP, Getintothis’ Adam Lowerson can’t contain his excitement.
The enigmatic production duo God Colony, may only be a few tracks into their musical career, surfacing every once in a while with a new track before disappearing back into the shadows, but it’s well worth the wait. Every time.
They’re back again, and with an EP titled Where We Were pencilled in for later in the year, their latest collaboration with Boston rapper Stash Marina, Desperate, is giving us something to get very excited about.

Desperate is probably the Liverpool duo’s best track yet. It’s dark, haunting and completely hypnotic. God Colony‘s atmospheric yet understated electronics simmer below the sharp beats, and match perfectly with Stash Marina‘s vocals.
Her lyrics are massively introspective. They’re blunt and hard hitting, and the repeated line of “How fucking low can you go, ’til you’re desperate” sticks with you long after you finish listening. She’s a massive talent and certainly one to check out if you haven’t already.
The track isn’t the first time God Colony and Stash Marina have collaborated, and we really hope it isn’t the last. There’s huge chemistry between them, and her vocal style sits perfectly inside their music.
UPDATE: God Colony have also dropped the video to fresh track SE16 featuring London MC FLOHIO directed by Gaika – check it out below.
